Throttle Response

Can throttle response be adjusted?

My car has crap throttle response when its not in sport mode. Sometimes driving down the highway I want to take it out of sport so the steering isn't as tight but the the throttle response is so crappy, I just cant do it. And by crappy I don't mean that its a little different, its like you have to give it half throttle before you see any rpm increase. It actually a real pain when stopped and you try to get going again because you have to give it so much throttle.

Can't be changed by any normal means.
Throttle response is scary delayed when not in sport mode. I have an auto and use the shifter to go in and out of sport mode when passing and such. Very handy as you don't have to look down and fumble for the button. I would leave it in sport mode all the time except that in sport mode, the auto will not shift into 6th which keeps the RPM's high.
I can't distinguish the difference in steering - sport mode vs normal? What is it that you feel?

The steering gets quite a bit tighter when in sport mode, you can really feel the difference while going around a corner not in sport and putting it in sport. Try it out! I could have sworn I saw something a month or so ago about adjusting throttle response via computer maybe at a dealer but you think I can find where I saw that!! I have searched high and low!

Search "Sprint Booster" and you'll find a bunch of threads on a product designed to fix this problem. It's a contentious issue, but I have one and I love it. I've accidentally turned it off a few times and the car becomes undriveable.

Lol....

Get a tune and it will fix your throttle response.

Some tunes I have are even too sensitive to drive around town because the throttle is so hyper sensitive. I never ever drive in sport mode anymore either...can't tell you the last time I did.
