Alternator belt help needed

My battery light came on. I almost made it home but ended up
getting towed three miles home. I find out my alternator belt broke.

I have some questions. First, I see on rockauto, that this belt
is for the waterpump too. I wonder if the car overheated.
I have no way to tell. I did get all kinds of warnings then the
car died. Rockauto also has a number of different sized belts.
I don't know what size to get.

Can somebody please give me advice on which belt to buy, where to get
it (usually use rockauto), and some general advice on how to put it on?
I'm hoping I can reach it from the bottom. I have small hands.

I have to wonder if they were changing this thing (I have the extended
maintenance plan), or, if it is just that they were and they don't last
very long (76k miles). I've put 150k miles on alternator belts before
no problem.

Anyway, I need some help. It's sitting on the driveway. I have to go
out of town tomorrow (taking my CRX, not for vacation). I'm hoping
to get the belt by express mail.

Thanks.

2007 justacooper with auto and AC.

Also, if somebody could post a pic of the way the belt weaves in and out.
Thank you.

Take a look at this: http://www.germanautoparts.com/Mini/.../9310/35466437

I think the part number is: 11 28 7 566 789

They have fast delivery if you are in the NE.

I ordered it.

I will first try the take the fender well off and pry
the tensioner with a screwdriver method like on the
1st Gen.

I will post my success or problems.

I posted when I got home. Now that I think it through I am a bit worried.
Did I burn up my engine/transmission? I am not sure how long I drove with no belt. Did the belt just break? Examination says I don't think so. It's like the pulley burned a hole in it.
So, that means something else seized, and another pulley burned a hole through it. Like the water pump siezed. If this happened I only had the battery warning. It means I drove 35 miles with no water pump.

No matter how I slice it, I'm down for a while. That's best case.

The purpose of my trip is to cut out the rust on my CRX, and weld in new. Plus rear seal and clutch. Plus extra if time allows. The outcome is not guaranteed. How will I get to work with two cars broken at the same time. My model allows for only one car broken at the same time.

I could go on and on. I'm a worrier.

Maybe the belt just broke sure.

Well we got down to the "stuck" level. In regards to two people making it to work in two opposite directions, with a very sick infant, and the temperature in the 100F sauna humidity ranges.

I had the mini towed to the dealer.
The belt was fixed under the maintenance agreement.
I will roll with this until such time as it breaks or I fix the AC in the CRX.

They really need to make a repair book for this thing.
I doubt I will be that lucky two times in a row.

My wife says to trade in on the countryman at 100k miles.

This is female code for
i want a new car because you got a new car.
Yeah, I did not fall with the last load of turnips lol

Any idea how much a service like that would have cost outside the maintenance agreement?

I don't have any idea how much it would cost.
They did it very rapidly. Maybe if you have the exact
perfect tool it is easy to do.

I don't know the exact time because they took me home but
the belt, brake flush, and cabin filter took a couple of hours.
