Good afternoon. I was just checking the oil in my wife's 2010 MCS and noticed some oily residue along the lip of the top of the engine right in front of the valve cover. I lifted the hood on my 2010 MCS and it appeared clean. Has there been any known issues of the valve cover gasket leaking?

Her Mini seems to idle a bit irratically as well. hmmmm?

 

Check on either side of the valve cover for the crankcase ventilation hoses, make sure they are both connected properly. If you can, take a high res photo and post it
