I've had my new (at least to me) '06 Mini S for a couple weeks and today it has thrown the airbag light. Locally I am unable to get it read as most code scanners will not tell anything about the airbag system. I have searched on this site and the threads I have found lead to dead ends. Has anyone found a code reader and been able to reset the light? I *thinik* it's a problem with the seat passenger seat sensor as the passenger side airbag light is on also and nothing changes if there is a passenger in the seat or not, even if someone is in the seat, it don't even show that they do not have their seatbelt on. I have found some information online about an extended warranty (10 years or 150k), but if I am reading it correctly, it is only for the early years. Did I miss something? My nearest dealer is 100+ miles away.........
