Please help..Supercharger problem 03

Hi Guys,

It's been my pleasure to join in this forum and get help from you guys whenever I had a problem with my car.

I'm driving 03 MINI S with 58k on it. I wasn't having too much problem yet but since few weeks ago it looks like my supercharger is not kicking in.

My car is much slower than before maybe it is slower than base MINI. It seems like my supercharger is not working at all and my car is running with pure engine. (I couldn't hear the wining noise as well)

Is there anything should I be aware of? Is there something that I need to replace such as like a fluid, belt, or sensor? I really do not have any idea.

(Trust me, it is not due to the hot water) My car just don't push from 2nd gear, it takes so much time to go to 4k rpm..

Please help, any advices..I really hope that my supercharger isn't dead..

Thank you again guys.

+1, 'cause if that bad boy was not turning (belt failure, or seizure) you'd have no water pump... and the temp gauge would be telling you.

The valve lets airflow bypass the SC when you're not heavy on the throttle. If it fails open, it lets airflow bypass the SC when you ARE heavy on the throttle.

Thank you, I just found this from the website. Is this something should I get? Is this okay to install on stock MINIs? I'm planning to have a jcw intake done over the summer..

How hard is to install this?

Detroit Tuned Bypass Valve

Thanks again!
