Seat Stiching

Have a friend that has a Cooper s conv, the stiching on the airbags at the sides of the seat are coming apart. Has anyone had this problem??? The dealer is taking it's sweet time to figure what to do about it. Can any auto upholstery shop handle this?

Thanks

Not that particular problem but, The driver's seat on my first roadster fell apart after a couple of years. I learned to vacuum the seams in the seat regularly to remove the grit that cuts into the stitching. Few people think of this then wonder what happened. That can't be what is causing your friends problem but there's gotta be a reason. Any upholstery shop should be able to deal with it.
