MINI, not to be rude, but we are only going to "stay on board" for so long.
We want solutions, not promises of "we're working on it".
As far as the 866.ASK.MINI line is concerned....it is pretty much MINI's tool to turn us around and go back to the dealer, which in turn tells us
A) we've never heard of it (similar answer was given by 866.ask.MINI)
or
B) we're working on it.
circles,circles,circles.....

First, I think it's nice to see MINI Division post in this thread. Thank You. Given the length of time this post has been up, I can only guess that there may have been some discussion back in New Jersey how to respond. I choose to see this as a first offering that comes up a bit short, but I do appreciate the post.
Issue 1: Windshields
What is the current resolution path?
Is there a deadline of some sort for MINI Engineering and the windshield vendor to make a finding?
Yo-Yo Chronicles
About what I expected given what Ryan has heard through his sources (i.e. MINI Engineering knows about it). It would be nice to know what MINI's current path is for evaluation of this issue and if they don't have that yet, when they are due to have a newly formulated plan after a review of Ryan's information (and how long they think it's going to take to evaluate Ryan's findings).
Pardon me if I'm a little off here, I'm really sick today.

To: MINIUSA The windshield problem should be a "no brainer" you said you were "working on it" seven months ago.!! Find another windshield glass source (PGG) is one that comes to mind, and offer a recall for windshields because of the excessive "pitting" and cracking.as a result of a substanard glass, (also offer to reimburse all folks who had to pay out of pocket $'s for replacements windshields. Please comment as to MINIUSA's position on offering a retrofit on 2002/2003 models to reinforce the pillars so to limit the "flexing" of the windshield thus reducing the "unexplained" cracks. P.S> Visiting your local dealer regarding "pitting" and cracks is a waste of time and effort as they get out their wonderful "pen" and always find a "pit" that they say is at fault!..Replace the current windshields with a stronger/harder glass and you will solve the problem..and don't wait another 7 months to "post a reply. (I am glad you finally DID REPLY..lol..)

NASCAR=crappy not that tearaways are crappy though they are a cool idea.

My windshield just cracked last week. I cant wait to hear their story on how this thing isn't going to be covered. I'm still trying to get them to hear the throw out bearing noise. But you know the story---they can't duplicate the problem or sound. This car and is getting to be a BIG PAIN IN THE ***. I bought a new car so I wouldn't have to put up with this crap, and all I have had is problems. I have been very patient with this company, but that is all about to change if they don't get their act together this time.
