Stock antennae replacement

Garage door came dwn on 05 Mini Cooper taking with it the antennae and damaging the base. I ordered replacement. Quite awhile ago I saw diagrams and instructions from someone who had replaced theirs. I am unable to find diagrams after repeated searches.

I am not sure how to remove headliner and proceed. Any suggestions?
