Intermittent Power Failure

I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S Convertible. In the past two months I have experienced intermittent power failures - once while driving, but most often after coming to a stop, all of the power gauges drop and then I cannot re-start the car. One time I had to get the car jump-started, but on other occasions after a few minutes I have been able to re-start the car. The time and trip odometer reset after such a power failure.
Any ideas where to start looking for the solution to this?
Thanks in advance for your help -

Hello!

Minis tend to do weird things when the battery is about to go out...

Get a new battery and see if the problems go away!

Good luck!
