transmission problems on 2006 mcs automatic?

transmission problems on 2006 mcs automatic?
i know there is a lot of problems with transmission replacement costing from 6 to 8 thousands for cooper from 03-05. Would 2006 observe these trends too? i got around 50,000 so far and i might be expecting problems soon??? thank you for your advise.

The '05 and '06 MCS has an Aisin 6 speed auto transmission that is entirely different than the CVT in the '02-'06 MC. The Aisin has been a reliable transmission from what is reported in the forums. The CVT is the one that is being reported as problematic and expensive to replace.
