Ok, this isn't really a problem, but I've got an issue with it.

Just called the local dealer for an oil filter - $22.48.
Last time I got a bunch from Classic, they were $8.50 or so. Is it me, or is that insane?

 

go on e-bay and get them for less than half that.

 

That's the cost at price level 1, no one buys them at that price except when a MINI is on warranty and BMW pays for it......

Your cost should be at price level 2 for competitive BMW MINI parts, so in other words about 11.00 bucks I think....

Call them back again and tell them to sharpen their pencils

Nix that....not worth risking anything off-brand, made in China or not OEM.

I'm not willing to save money on inferior O-rings or internal filter material that could come apart or not up to specs. That half price stuff is what you find at the local Jiffy Lube's and other quicky oil change outfits.

 

Thats what I paid for mine at BMW/MINI Richmond.

 

You get my next order (thermostat, too). Our local dealer just moved (at first I thought it was a new dealership) so I figured I'd ask. Crazy talk. Serious crazy talk. I was tempted to ask if that was the installed price.

 

The 4pack and 6pack prices are higher in the cart than the listed price?

 

Doh! I didn't even see the multipacks - I just got multi of 'one'. Guess Way gets a beer on me.
They come up right for me - note the multipack shows '+$x.xx' - the $8.50 base + the total for the extras. So 4 -pack is $8.50+21.50= $30

 

ahh! the + threw me off lol

 

Eric has it right, the more you order the cheaper they get.
