Airbag (SRS) Light

Hey everyone!

Okay here is my story, Last January I bought a 2003 Indi Blue Mini Cooper.
Back in May 2010 my airbag light came on and I went to the dealership. They said that I had some problems with my driver's seat airbag and the seatbelt. They supposedly "fixed" the problem and life went on....Well about 3 weeks ago the dreaded SRS light came on and yesterday (1/21/11) I took it back to the dealership and they said that they hardwired the airbag wires under the drivers seat. (Im not sure if I am explaining this right) Anyway they told me if the light comes back on, I have to come back and have them put in a new airbag harness and that it would cost me $600! They reset the airbag light and left it as that.....I got in my car, getting ready to leave (oh not to mention, the dealership is 3 hours away for me) I saw my airbag light on again! My dad went in and told them and they came out for the MINI...tried to fix it and they told me now I have to get this new airbag harness.

Anyways Last night, I found an article on Motorfile saying that MINI extended the warranty for this particle problem... so has this happened to anyone else on here? I am not sure what I should do now....

Anyone have any comments or advice for me?
