Airbag Light?

I have an 06 Mini-convertable, and when I start it up the passenger airbag light come on an dose not go out, my question is, how do you turn it off?. Its a long way to the dealer, or is that my only alternative?.

You can get the bav technics tool I think it is $300.
It does all kinds of stuff not just the airbag.
