Some light function and changing questions

02 Mini S here. So it looks like there are little clear lights in the front turn signal lights. My signals flash, but these clear little ones do nothing, are they supposed to light up when the parking lights are on or if the car is running like the City Lights some cars in Europe used to have?

It doesn't look like I can reach in there in change, them, or can I?

Does the bumper have to come of to change the fog bulbs?

And last, how to you change the front orange side marker lights, these I assume are just standard running lights. Seems like a tight fit to get your hand in there, both mine are burned out and I assume will need them lit for inspection!

So I guess you can remove the fog by either taking off the bumper or removing a wheel and pealing back the wheel well liner.

these should be very easy questions for the first gen guys.

If its like the newer ones there are round twist off access panels inside the wheel well to get to both the fogs, and the running lights, which on the second gen are both in the same housing.

As far as arch lights I believe you have to pull back the wheel well liner... I had to do that on the rear of mine since the factory apparently didnt tighten it and it popped off lol

aldo this would definately be in the owners manual id think

EDIT: from the 02 manual online (i dont know why its tring to take the formatting too)

the running lights you can change by just opening the hood and twisting the bulb housing.

fogs, you can get to them either by popping front part of the wheel well, or taking the bumper off. i did it both ways
if you want to do both then take the bumper off, as turnsignal housing is held on by 3 screws so bulb is easy to take off, and once bumper is off the fog is right there too...taking bumper off takes about 5 minutes or so.

ohhh. and yes, in the turnsignal you have running lights
