Half Shaft install, drivers side

Hi guys,

I just finished the Getrag 6speed swap, went for a drive and the drives side half shaft (axle shaft) popped out of the gearbox.

It seems that I had not inserted it far enough into the garbox for the clip to grap.

My question is if there is a specific trick to get the clip to grap. I tried pusing the shaft, im no whimp, but still I could not get it to grab. I also tried banging on it with a hammer, but still it would not go far enough in to grip the clip.

Neeeeed Heeeeeeeelp plz

same thing happened to me- here is what i did - pull the shaft out, turn the clip so that the opening in the clip is on the bottom then try to reinsert - this finally worked for me
