Car seems to lurch occasionally at constant throttle in higher gears
I've searched around and can't seem to come up with much info just yet, but approaching end of warranty so I wanted to try to get this sorted. I've got a March build '07 MCS manual that sometime acts like the motor has been cut for a fraction of a second when cruising at constant throttle. The tach never registers a change and there's no change in engine tone (though I thought last night I heard it rev up once). At first I only noticed it in 4th but last night it also occurred in 6th.
My question is whether it seems likely it's a clutch slipping issue or if it might be something like this, which seems like a pretty random occurrence:

I haven't done the rev to 2k in 4th and pop the clutch evaluation but will do that too.
Thanks in advance to anyone that has any ideas!

I would say the two most likely candidates (in no particular order) are clutch and high-pressure fuel pump.
The drive axle coming undone (the final solution in the other thread) isn't outside the realm of possibility, but I would say is far less likely. Still, stranger things have happened...
In any case, it might be best to get the car over to your service department and see what they have to say, if for no other reason than to have it documented as an issue prior to the expiration of the warranty...?
