Steering shake on acceleration

MCS with 95k miles on the odometer. When I am accelerating from a stop I feel a slight shimmy in the steering wheel. This does not happen at a constant speed, so I don't think it's a balance issue. I recently had one axle replaced, but that was about 6 months ago. This issue started two weeks ago.

Any ideas? Bushings? Motor mounts?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Viraf

Who is your new axle made by? There are a lot of aftermarket axles that have been known to fail after a short time. I have one myself and am keeping my fingers crossed.

Vibration under acceleration sounds like an axle problem at one of the joints.

Axle

No idea as to the brand, but it was installed by Johnsons Alignment -they are a pretty reputable shop and I have been going there for 20 years.

If you paid any less than $500 for the shaft alone, there's a good chance it wasn't an oem part.
