A/C blown hot air momentarily

Hey guys, I'm posting this although Google insists this site is now a knows "attack site." My '06 JCW has developed an irritating problem. After driving the car for a few miles when just starting up in the morning, or whatever, the a/c blows hot air for a moment. It only lasts maybe 10 or 15 seconds, but it blows hot air in my face then goes cold and is fine for the rest of the drive. Anyone had this happen or have any idea what this is all about? It is a regular occurrence. Thanks

Thats normal for start-up, especially when its hot outside. The air in the system is as hot as air gets when heated in an enclosed area. But when you say 'whatever,' are you saying that it blows hot after its been blowing cold?

Yes, it blows cold, then a few minutes down the road, pretty much the same spot every time, it goes hot for a short moment, then back to cold again.

my intelligence is mildly insulted, but since this is MINI land, I still love you :P :D
