Thanks for the informative posts here - I'm new!

I realized that my new-to-me 05 Mini Cooper S "driving" light is not working (I'm not sure if that's what it's called - see pic below for exact light). The bulb works fine when I use the turn signal but when it's on at night or during the day it does not light - only works using the turn signal. I replaced the bulb just in case too. Any ideas?

There are actuall TWO bulbs in there. The larger bulb



is for the directional.


The smaller one a 2825, is a small running light.




It's back is right next to the larger one. Get a hold of it and a 10 degree twist releases it from the socket housing. Replace bulb insert and twist back in opposite direction as before to secure.

Could you please elaborate just a bit on how to get the bulb out? I've located the smaller bulb and disconnect the wire socket. I just can't seem to get the black housing out.

nevermind - a little wd-40 did the trick!
