odd ac issues

so when my 06mcs was at idle it seemed as though the ac compressor would turn off, and the air would then blow cold until i started moving again. i have read about the low speed fan not working but mine is working fine low on all the time switching to high every now and then.

also recently at start up i have been hearing a strange noise from the passenger side dash that sounds kinda like bubbling.

so today i bought a can of freon (134a) with the gauge attached. hooked it up and it read 32 psi. according to the can it should have been at 45psi so i added more, almost the whole can and the psi never went up...

so i quit for fear of adding to much. since then i haven't noticed it blowing warm at idle any more but the strange noise coming from the dash has gotten much louder and sound more like an old timey car horn followed by the bubbling noise then stops and seems to be fine.

didn't measure the air temp before i added but it now blows at about 50 degrees which seems colder than it was. is that about right?

any thoughts?

My car has a bubbling/water rushing/odd water noise when accelerating with a lead foot... cant really notice it when just cruising... a bit odd indeed.
no idea if its related to the low speed fan or a/c...

anyone got any input?
