Driver Window stopped working out of nowhere...

So i have my door panels off cause i installed speakers and stuff. I didnt do any harm to the window motor or anything..

anyways so today out of nowhere it just stopped working. I hear the click but no movement. I didnt touch anything it just stopped working. What could it be??
I need that driver side window to open cause i hate the AC..

What could it be and how can i diagnose it? I only have 44k miles on the car..

im going to check the fuse tommorow hopefully its just the fuse.. but can fuses just blow out of nowhere?

It's not uncommon for windows to stop working. Poor man's fix is to hold up the toggle, and simultaneously hit the space on the door in between the speaker and the handle.
Then again, if you recently worked in the area, it could be a physical connection issue.

Yes beat on the door while holding the switch until it works. If that doesn't work you'll need a motor. I keep em in stock just for that reason.

If this method works... Does it mean the motor is going bad?

This method works for mine but my window is getting stuck more often.. I want to fix the root issue.

If it continues to misbehave, you either need to clean out or replace the motor.

Thank you.. I ordered a new motor and the tool needed to take the window out today. Does anyone know where I can get the weather stripping/ window scraper that touches the window inside and out? My window squeaks when it goes up and down due the the weather stripping wearing out.

Im having a hard time finding this part online.

I fugute if I’m taking it apart I might as well replace it.

Search YouTube because you can clean the motor barrel and it will work fine. Fix costs no more than some 800 grit sand paper.

Cool!
Is this a Mini specific video or a general video on repairing window motors?
