I did an inspection of my engine bay today and noticed that one of the mountings are cracked. It looks bad to me but is this a major issue? How long should it last still? Is it fine if I just leave it? What is the cause of this?

That looks to me like it was coated or painted and some fluid (like motor mount goo?) got on it and crinkled the finish. A crack would be more like a rip with one line of stress clearly defined by air in between it once it got bad.

 

That does not look like actual structural cracks to me. More like a slightly soiled mount with some the casting imperfections filled in with dirt/oil/etc.

 

All the mounts look like that. It's not cracked, its from the casting of the mount. Don't worry about it.
