R57 boot not staying latched

Started having this problem on my R57. Started 6/6/10 Have been searching for an answer. Anyone have this problem. I think it started after I locked the mini. Then realized I had something to get out of the boot. so I used the remote boot button . Now I drive along and hear a click and then the icon shows that the boot door just opened.
Thought maybe I got things out of sequence some how . The standard locking button compared to the boot button. I don't know.. gonepostal

Well don't go postal on your car please.

There are a few things that come to mind.

1. Water in the latch button mechanism - this is common on R55/R56 models - has it rained a lot where you are lately.

2. button on the remote sticking.

3. Cars computer is confused. Hard Reset my be needed - disconnect battery for 30+ minutes. You lose all your dash setting.

4. boot (trunk) monkey is playing with the boot interior release.
