Ticking or Tapping noise in Drivers side Rear

As the title says, there is a ticking or tapping noise coming from that area. I can only hear it at a slow speed or when it is coasting. I'm thinking its a wheel bearing, but I wanted to know your thoughts on this.

2003 mini base 108k miles.

Thanks

Does the noise frequency increase with speed, that is, do you hear more ticks per second when speed is higher?

Cheers

Yes it does, but it will disappear when the speeds are higher. Or I just can't hear it when moving at a faster speed. I will have to remove the rear seats to confirm that it does. But when I lifted the car and turned the wheel, it only clicked once and the clicking stopped after turning the wheel at different speed intervals by hand.

Did you ever figure this out? Nail in tire? Wheel bearing?

It was the brake pads itself. the type of pads I had made a gap between the carrier and the brake pad clip. So I put a shim in between to make the noise go away. I just used cardboard paper
