Passenger headlight went out

Hi i got pulled over the other night for my passenger headlight being out and when i got home i switched off my headlights then back on and both powered up. The passenger one flickers slightly when both are on now. After driving for a while the same light turns off. I opened my hood to see if anything is loose but cant really tell and i dont want to start taking anything apart without knowing what im doing. Any help??

The same thing happened to me. I am assuming your have Xenons? Artoo is an '03. I bought a used igniter on eBay as I think that is the part that goes. That way when it happens again or more often, I'll be ready.

Pull the bulbs (don't touch the glass) and swap them side for side, then try them - if the 'flicker' moves w/ the bulb, it's the bulb - if the same side (pass, in your case) stays 'bad', it's the ignitor/ballast/silver box thingie...

It could also be the plug is loose, but you'll discover that when you go to disconnect it...

Good Luck!

I don't think it is testable. But the reports from those where the problem gets worse than infrequent and are cured but a few turn on and offs, are that the igniter fixes it. I think if the bulb itself was bad it would be out more often than not. That is why I bought an igniter and put in in my parts drawer just in case. There is also a thermostat and housing as well as a belt in that drawer.
