brake light on, abs and service light flicker.....

hello all, I'm actually posting this for my roommate as I'm trying to help her with her car, i'm a vw guy myself lol. Anyway, she has a 07 mini and recently her brake light stays on steady, and when she starts the car, her abs and service light flicker but then go off. According to her the abs and service lights have never flickered before when she started the car. Also she told me the car drives fine and makes no noises or anything.

I'm going to check the car out tomorrow and scan it for codes but was wondering if any body has any suggestions as to what I can look at. I was gona take a look at the abs sensors and all brake related parts to start out with. Thanks for any help!

If the red brake light on the tach stays on and the red service light flickers then one of the brake pad wear sensors has been tripped meaning the pads are worn out and need replacing.

There's only one sensor for the front on the drivers side and yes it needs replaced if it has been tripped.
