but only one works most of the time. i have the light removed and can see the two horns. the horn closest to the engine does not work all the time.

if i tap on it with a tool, it will work for a few beeps and then stops working.

any ideas? i don't see the dealer until may when it goes in for oil change and the single horn sounds like a girly smart car

I'm surprised you use the horn often enough to even detect the problem!
I've honked roughly 6 times in two years.. but to be fair, I live in a small town with a population < 40k..

 

one works all the time and the other works sometimes?

check the wire connections ... sounds like one is loose on the 'intermittent' horn
