valve spring compressor

anyone know of a top mount compressor that actually works other than the dealer sold one ? i dont want to pull the head and the auto zone pieces are well ; just that...pieces . harbor freight? sears?

How are you holding the valves in place? Compressed air? And why? New stem seals, or springs? I have used a homemade one for other engines; I can send you a pic if you are interested.

yeah i'll use air or rope . prolly air . seals are going . the sp91400 a looks good but before i drop money on a tool i'd like to know if it's been used on a mini or neon .
