2009 ECU Reset?
Trouble resetting CEL
I've tried disconnecting my battery with the ignition on. I left it disconnected for over an hour. When I re-connected the battery, all my radio stations are still there as well as my check engine light. I believe I've fixed the issue causing the CEL, but can't get it to go out. I had Autozone pull the codes again and they are still the same. Any suggestions on how to get the CEL to go out?
Thanks,
David

Go back to Autozone and have them delete the codes.
Better yet get your own OBD2 code reader, get one that will read BMW codes. Anyone who likes to wrench on their own car nowadays should have a OBD2 code reader.

Your local auto store can't delete the codes in North Carolina. $10,000 fine or so I'm told. I see an OBD2 code reader in my future. Until then is there any other way to remove the codes?
Any recommendations on which OBD2 reader to purchase or borrow?

No, there isn't. Get a Scan tool.
Here is a BMW scan tool review page, I just googled, BMW Scan tool and it came up.
