Clicking/ticking sound when on throttle

Hey guys I have a weird noise that sounds like small rocks rattling in a can whenever I suddenly go full throttle when low in the rpm range ~2500 rpm. It comes from my footwell and happens everytime I step on the throttle and stops immediately when I release the throttle. Any ideas what this is? The car is running great and I only put Chevron 91 in it (best we can get in AZ).

i'm interested in this too!! I've had this noise for a while now and just assumed it was my supercharger going slowly, or the water pump gears, etc. I told the service guys and they've always said that they didn't hear anything unusual. Always thought i was just being too ****, as my GF says. Of course she always said that she couldn't hear anything and that i'm "crazy" or "paranoid"

i always had a theory that it was the bolts that hold the brake pedal cover on that were vibrating. Tough to check down there while at speed, but i have been under there to check and couldn't see much down there.

Mine is an 02 MCS 6spd, I have been told that it might be the supercharger water pump gears since its not speed dependent and only happens when I mash the gas. I will have to look further into it. It sounds like something is rattling around, almost buzzing when I accelerate hard.
