Replacing MCS 04 Belt Tensioner

My car has a rattle which at first I thought was the supercharger going out, but using a long screwdriver as a stethoscope I found the most noise coming from the Belt Tensioner. If it is indeed a failing belt tensioner, is it best just to replace it with the exact same part?

I've read in other post that certain year MCS's had mulitple versions of the belt tensioner. I'm wondering if there are multiple versions available for my 04 MCS or if there is a better aftermarket part to use.

MINI may have updated the part number, but the design has not changed over the years. I keep brand new ones in stock at all times.

Great idea with the Idler Pulley....

And may as well put in an Alta Tensioner stop too. they are only 20 dollars and worth every penny...
