Crack in valve cover!

Hey all, While installing a MSD ignition pack the new bolts somehow cracked the cover and now leaking. Called the Stealer and it's 280 for the cover and 25 for gaskets. Can I patch the crack to hold me over till new cover comes in? I tried 2 stage industrial epoxy the grey stuff and ran a patch over the crack. I let it dry 24 hrs hard as a rock no leaks at idle...Having read about valve cover explosions.....how much pressure is the cover under? Is the patch safe? if the pressure is low I cant see the epoxy failing....also any body go a USED cover for a 2002 MCS?

JB Weld it from the inside. That will be fine until you can get a new cover.
