Well Saturday I was doing some honey do's around the house and while carrying something I bumped into and knocked over the cat food bucket...food went flying everywhere...mostly infront of and under the Mini...

I thought great (okay I really thought something else but I'll keep this G rated )

So as I am picking up the food and leaning under the Mini...I notice a spot of fluid I have never seen before...so I move the Mini and there is a blue/green fluid droplet...I'm thinking what is this?

BTW...the Mini had 49,904 miles on her when I found this drop plus she was still in warranty time wise until June 21st 2009

I feel it and it is thickish fluid...so I head inside and start searching this forum to see what this could be...

After a few searches I found out that the thermostat housing on these cars is pretty prone to issues...I called the dealership on Tuesday (holiday weekend) and made an appointment for today...and low and behold...a bad thermostat housing...fixed JUST under warranty!!!

So what perfect timing that I would bump all that freaking food all over the place so I could see the droplet of blue/green fluid when we had 96 miles left on the factory warranty!!!

So the next time you do something that you think is causing you more work than you needed...there might be a silver (or blue/green) lining in it for you like there was for me!

Just really wanted to say what an awesome site this is...you guys and gals saved my bacon on my wife's Mini under warranty...barely under warranty!...so THANKS!!!
