I have an 03 MCS With a really light greyish headliner that is coming apart , Actually its peeling away from the thin foam layer all along the windows ect. I`ve used spray adhesive in the past to repair but it changed the colour and looks horrible .. Havent really looked around yet on the net or an upholstery shop yet .. Thought I would come here first and find out the Pros & Cons about the do it yourself or pay out the rear for such a poorly made headliner in the first place ,,dont like the foam part of the headliner I think they" MINI "
must have been out to lunch on that design part of the car. Think about it a
nice cloth surface glued to open cell crumbly foam, glued to whatever is under that.. I really want a vinyl type of headliner with no padding is there such a thing? Thanks for any future help on this matter

 

your best bet is probably to check your local yellow pages under autom' upholstry as these folks typically to headliners .... maybe they can offer a repair.

IMHO this is not a good DIY project. My 79 has a DIY and I spent a good bit of time working to hide the errors. fort' it is vin'l so I was able to spray paint it and hide a lot of sins.

 

Found this in our DIY section. A DIY headliner install appears to be quite the project.
