We have an R56 but I figured more R53 owners have extended warranty experience. Our MINI is approaching the end of the MINI warranty and we just had the engine partially rebuilt because of carbon build up. If not for the factory warranty it probably would have cost north of $5K.

So we're shopping for extended warranties. Our dealer sells Fidelity Warranty Services. Anyone have any experience with them? I have had good experiences in the past with Warranty Direct. Both are backed by A - Excellent rated insurance companies, but in today's economy, I am thinking I should diversify my counterparty risk.
