Left headlamp aimed down - loose and bouncing

I did read the other threads, but their headlamps seem to be solidly aimed- like my passenger side. I hit a pothole pretty hard recently, enough to damage the sidewall on the driver side. And now my driver side headlight is aimed down. I removed the cap to see if I could aim it, and I was able to move the headlight by touching the bulb assembly wire harness. This does not seem normal. It just slides up and down, and when I let go, it aims down, with the lamp right in front of the bumper.

Is there a catch or a snap that it could have popped out of? I hope I don't need a new headlight assembly! I couldn't see the Allan wrench adjustment screws either. Time to take it to the dealer?

From one "Blue Meaney" to another, it's an '09, I'd just take it to the dealer and let them deal with it for you.......

Doh! thanks though. Seeing service Saturday and getting an "early" oil change as well.

They replaced the entire headlight under warranty and aligned the other one. That was one hell of a pothole. Palisades Parkway exit 1, for you Jersey Mini drivers. Be careful!
