Is it only one knock? Just a thought on the axle nut being loose. Colder temp being louder

Knock

I own a 2005 cooper s and have the same problem! I cant find a person that will take a look at it and tell me what they think it is and I live 2 hours away from the nearest dealer. If you find anything out let me know! and its like a continuous knocking until it warms up, very perplexing!

cv joint? turn wheel and hold in tight turn and lower window to hear if you hear a clipping sound at low speed . then put in reverse and listen for a clunk and go in reverse and listen for clicking and such .

Does the noise go away when you push the clutch pedal in?
