Running like a clunker
Ok so today driving home from work my girlfriends Clubman just decided to die on the interstate while traffic was stopped. She said it took her a minute to get the car started back. Recently the car has started haveing some cold start like chatter and had a feeling like it is going to die when you are going slow. We took the car into the dealership two weeks ago because of the window issue and described the chattering and the feeling like it is going to die and they service guy said it is because of the ethanol in the gas. He said they did not need to look at it. The car has 15k on it and says it has another 3k before it needs an oil change.

another motorer stonewalled by an indifferent dealer. First thing Id do is go to a different dealer that's more accomodating, if U can, and req to check the hp fuel pump. If not, Id call MINIUSA and raise hell. some dealers, eps back east, are notorious for stonewalling customers with legitimate complaints. If it happens to her again, have her call the 800 MINI rescue number.

dealer checked the high pressure fuel pump, but it checked out ok. Then I got the "too much ethanol in the gas" story. Which might be true, but luckily by now I am driving one of the millions of cars which just keeps working fine with all that bad gas im am putting into it...ZoomZoom
