Lets assume that due to the cold chatter internal engine parts where eventually damaged and caused u to need a new engine what would the maximum possible cost be to us?

 

Isn't the "cold start chatter" limited to the valvetrain? At worst, I'd think you'd be looking at a new cylinder head and valve components, which would be much cheaper than an entirely new engine. (Plus the labor costs would be much lower because you're not having to R&R the entire engine.

You can find a whole engine on Ebay for 1,000 pounds... Just to give you a rough idea... if you had to pay for a new transmission installed by a dealer it would cost you about $5000. I know this because I saw the work order when I had mine replaced under warantee. Expect more for a factory installed short block. Long block would be even more.
