Roof molding replacement question
Roof molding replacement question
While removing a large mass of ice from the roof of my car recently, the the corner piece of roof molding above the passenger side A pillar came off with it.

It looks like a straightforward enough repair if I get the part; looks like it will just snap right on, right? The question I have, though, is whether another part broke. I don't know how clear this is in the photo, but it almost looks like the plastic core of the molding protruding from the section to the left is snapped off. Anyone know if that's the case, or if I just have to replace one part here? It's not clear by squinting at the driver's side one.
Thanks!

On realoem it looks like #10 - one piece (though in appearance it seems to be two
- for style?)
They also list two different part numbers.

Thanks Eric.
Well, I took it in, and it turns out you can't just replace that one little piece, you have to replace the molding for the whole length of the roof. I'll definitely be more careful in the future...

Wizard, if $$ are a concern, I'd definitely contact Classic or Morristown MINI for parts cost, as labor essentially consists of pulling the old molding off, and snapping the new piece in.
ok so i found the whole strip online at all mini parts for 59$ which isnt bad for what i was thinking, im just wondering what the dealership will charge me for the part as well as putting it back on. any one know what kind of adhesive is used on this part i might just do it myself.
blah talked to mini on the phone today they want 400$ to do both sides! anyone know what kind of adhesive is on this and does it come on the part already (peal and stick guy) or if its something separate because i really wanna do this myself, after all im a helicopter mechanic i think i can handle this one and save a few hundo
