Reprogram DME after bypass valve install?
Reprogram DME after bypass valve install?
I've read a lot about bypass valve problems (re: car going into limp mode, etc). I think I've got those symptoms (getting error code P1688) and likely going to replace the bypass valve. Does the DME have to be reprogrammed after the install? I would understand if it needed to be reset (per Detroit Tuned instructions), but reprogrammed? I am asking because I have a service invoice estimate from a mechanic that includes reprogramming and I don't want to shell out those bucks if I don't have to.
Thanks...

The codes can be cleared by disconnecting the battery if you do not wish to incur a charge for clearing the code.
