Does this work for R56 as well?
Hi
I did a diagnostic on the check engine light and it was P0128. I'm trying to get a mechanic to replace the thermostat for less. I received several quotes ranging from $350 to $500.
Is there a step by step on how to work on the R56?
Any tips and advice would greatly be appreciated.

What is an R56
I have a 2009 Hardtop JWC. I need to replace the thermostat. The dealer wants over $500. Reading the posts it does not seem that hard. They told me it was 5.5 hours of work. Not sure I buy it. Anyway, what is an R56, is my 2009 an R56. I saw a post that said go over to the R56 form. I do not see a link. Thanks for any assistance.

Did my thermostat last year as my thermostat housing was cracked... No issues with fitment. Both the thermostat and housing were purchased online.
