My wife's 02 MINI started blowing only cold air through the vents this week, It's not the thermostat,, coolant level, and the heater core feels quite warm to the touch. It has the auto climate system.

I did observe all of the servo motors moving when the recirc button, the temp adjust, or the panel versus footwell button are used.

I understand there is some sort of flap that is supposed to open for heat, what activates that? I assume it's parts of the air flow servo which does appear to move when penel vs. floor is selected.

Also, do the temp sensors for the Heater core or the interior temp affect heating. I assume they would only impact auto operation and this blows cold in both auto and manual mode.
