My 07 MCS with jcw package is popping out of third occasionally, and sometimes(sorry I don't know how to explain this right) when I put it into 3rd it doesn't shift all the way in and when I disengage the clutch the gear grind. Has any one else experienced this? I dont really drive my car to hard, but I am worried mini might blame me for this or say they can reproduce the problem. Thanks for the help

I had and seen this in other cars and it usually means the transmission is gone. This is normally the first real warning. Then it will not stay in the gear at all.
If you are under warranty get to the dealer ASAP.

 

+1 Time for another gearbox.
