I'm a new user. My name is Marco, I'm italian (for this reason sorry for my english).
I own a MINI r56 Cooper D, but I've a problem.
I have half OBC. I can see digital speed, temperature, service info, check info, car-settings. But I haven't avg speed, avg & realtime mpg, and estimate of range.
I went in 2 BMW/MINI center, but both says me that's impossible to acctivate aftermarket.
It's true? I think it's only disactivated, because I can see range, but only when fule indicator becomes red, for this reason I think it's just hidden.

Marco. It's very hard to believe they are telling you the truth. It's a computer. They have the ability to completely reprogram it so far as I am aware, and can surely fix anything that is missing. They just don't want to put out the effort because it can take them quite awhile. For instance, just to reprogram it to make a faulty window program stop it in the right place when you put it up or down, as just happened to me, takes 3.5 hours. Keep after them.

 

on some countries and trims, some options are not standart.
obc may not be standart for cooperd in italy, so you may not have it. of course its nothing but a simple software tweak, but the dealer charges you for that functionality and as you didnt pay, they wont activate it for you.
