My right front top shock mount is busted the body work looks ever so slightly mushroomed opposed to the other side.What's the fix and parts needed as i'm collecting parts to do other stuff,pref aftermarket,Koni FSD's in hand already.How stupid could i be to continue to drive on it as i want to do all the work at once 2002 cooper (nonS).HELP

Also note the build date of your MINI, the very early had one setup and then was changed in late 02.

 

there's plenty of threads in the 1st gen suspension forum regarding your very question. search for mushroom.

if indeed you have a late build 2002, you may want to consider ireland's fixed plates since you will have to drop the struts to fix the top mount.

 

Well i've read the sticky and that was alot of reading not really interested in who's got what size wheels but more in the fix it department,so have ordered IE fixed camber plates and M7 strut tower braces am looking at the complete bar,does anyone know if it dissambles for smaller shipping cost if so i would get that.When it's all done with the new Koni FSD's it should be the ticket
