Has anyone found information on the factory installed alarm on the MINI? I orderd it on my MCS and save for the red light on the end of the wiper switch stalk I don't know anything about it. Dealer doesn't know and MINIUSA just gives some generic info on it. One day I sat in the car pushed the remote, waited and started making all kinds of movements and turning the wheel before the 'alarm' went off. Is there any way to adj. the sensitivity of the alarm? And isn't it pretty much of an industry standard of two remotes for alarms?

450 smacks. As told to me at order time, unlisted option. I believe that it is or will be a dealer option. Was told that factory no longer installs alarms.

You can go to you local Cartoys and have them install an alarm for around $350 with a prox sensor. They even spliced into my factory stuff so I kept my original Mini remote entry key. Pretty slick, when I push the lock button the alarm is armed and when I push the un lock ......you get the Idea..
