whistling sound fart

ok I got my iphone out and recorded the whistling fart that comes out of the engine when I shut it off after 20 plus mile drives.

visit this page:

Is this a serious issue or something like the exhaust farts?

My Mini has now decided to join the whistling club. Sometimes it whistles intermittantly at idle, but more often when I shut of the engine. I searched around for the source tonite and it seems that the engine has to be completely heat soaked for it to start. Even then, it is random. The whistle seems to come from the exhaust header area by the firewall. Removing the heat shield, I see than the valve cover gasket is leaking a bit at the back, over the exhaust header.

So here's my guess: the valve cover is under vacuum as is normal, and air is getting sucked in to make the whistle. It seems that heat from the header plays a role, which is why the engine has to get nice and hot. Also probably why the valve cover leaks in that area in the first place.

My '06 MCS cabriolet does this every time I shut her off, and my normal drive is about 16 miles. It sounds like someone doing a sharp whistle to get your attention. We can't figure out where exactly it is coming from.

I have a 2009 s that is making the same deflating balloon sound (farting) when I turn it off every time. Car does not seem to be performing bad. Still good mileage minimal oil consumption. Anybody find out what this could be?
