This needs to be moved to the "Market" area and listed with prices.

I hit 79,000 this week. I paid for the extended (up to 75,000) and the only things to go bad have been the window motor & tie rod which were covered & happened under 10,000 miles. The next thing that went bad was the ignition coil --- not covered after 50,000 mine went at around 74,000 ---- not covered w/extended, cost my about $500+ at dealership, had to also replace wiring which they told me would all have been covered under 50,000 miles. I had my local mechanic (awesome btw) run on computer for diagnostic. Then dealership charged to do the same for more $$$. Dealer told me maybe "bad gas". I did get an 08 automatic MC to drive for 3 days for "free". Now my mini is not under any warrenty and going to local foreign motor repair guy from now on. IMHO - I have always been happy w/dealer but they really think I have extra cash to give away for BMW serviceman to look at mini.

sounds like it's not worth it. 5.4k is a lot for warranty. that's lots of parts you can buy if you're willing to be a grease monkey. imho dealing and buying anything w/ bmw/mini, dealers or the company, is quite painful at their asking price and rarely makes me feel good
