Just noticed today that there are matching scratches on the hatch edge and on the bumper where the hatch closes at the bottom.

Paint has worn all the way down to the primer on both surfaces. What's odd is that when the hatch is closed, there's a good 5-6mm of space between it and the bumper cover.

Anybody else notice this? Think the warranty will cover it?

9 weeks old, 10k miles.

 

I've got an 08 and no issues like that. Hope you live close to the dealer. It sounds like a warranty adjustment and repainting job.
